Title

IMPLEMENTATION MADRASAH BASED MANAGEMENT IN IMPROVING QUALITY OF EDUCATION AT MADRASAH ALIYAH STATE 1 MAKASSAR

Abstract

The study aims to determine the implementation of education management in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah State (MAN) 1 Makassar. The study used qualitative-descriptive research methods. Data collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis within qualitative research, conducted before entering the field, during the study took place and after completion at the field. The analysis focused during the process in the field, together within data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion/verification.
The results showed that the implementation of madrasah-based management in improving the quality of education at MAN 1 Makassar is well improved through the vision, mission and the goals of madrasah. Besides, internal and external supported also turned out into significant potential for improving the quality of education at MAN 1 Makassar. This can be seen in learning achievement of students at MAN 1 Makassar, especially the students’ results of State Examination which showed satisfying. Therefore, it’s increasing public trust. Moreover, decree on the determination of accreditation results has been accredited by National Accreditation Board School-Madrasah, within 92 score or rank A (Very Good).

THE INFLUENCE OF AL-AZHAR CAIRO ALUMNUS ON DEVELOPMENT
OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION IN SOUTH SULAWESI

Abstract

This aim of this research to analyze the influence of Al-Azhar alumnus on the development of Islamic educational and the implementation of Al-Azhar educational management of Islamic educational management in South Sulawesi. Another aim to describe strength and weakness of Al-Azhar alumnus of Islamic educational management in South Sulawesi. This research used quantitative and qualitative methode. Data analysis in qualitative research, conducted since before entering the field, during the study took place and after completion in the field. The analysis is more focused during the process in the field, together with data collection, which consists of three activities, namely data reduction, data display and conslusion/verification. Respondents are two categories; Al-Azhar and non Al-Azhar alumnus. Total respondents from Al-Azhar alumnus are 35 person while non Al-Azhar alumnus are 69 person. Data quantitative analyzed using  scoring system, cross tabulation, and correlation analysis.
The Result showed the influence from Al-Azhar Alumnus towards the development of Islamic Education is significance. The implementation variables and evaluation variables are positive and it’s strong contribution to influence development of Islamic education in South Sulawesi. Eventhough the alumnus Al-Azhar has weak factors in planning, organizing, managerial and administration variables. While their strength showed in Islamic knowledge competency and personal integrity.

Abstract

This paper discusses analytically descriptively about the formalization of Islamic religious education in Indonesia which focuses on the problems and prospects in the national education system. Therefore, the basic problem is that the formalization of Islamic religious education in the national education system is apparently not singular, but there are factors that contribute to its realization. This study belongs to the literature research category by citing, adapting, and reviewing material from books or literature that has to do with the problems discussed, both in the form of books, papers and articles that are considered representative. Then it is processed using inductive, deductive and comparative analysis methods,

The results of the study indicate the formalization of Islamic religious education in the national education system, faced with problems, namely the problems of policy, politics, and systematic problems. Even though the formalization of Islamic religious education is faced with problems, but the prospect of its realization has a great opportunity because it is supported by Islamic religious education institutions, namely philosophical universal Islamic education, sociological institutions, political institutions, and juridical institutions.

MANAGEMENT OF SALAFIYAH AND KHALAFIYAH
COMPARATIVE STUDY OF EDUCATION NATIONAL STANDARD IN IMPLEMENTATION

OF MANAGEMENT AT THE CENTER OF SALAFIYAH PAREPPE AND PONDOK DDI AL-IHSAN KANANG POLEWALI-WEST SULAWESI

Abstract

The study aims to examine the management of components of the national standards of Salafiyah and Khalafiyah education in Parappe Islamic Boarding School and Kanang Islamic Boarding School. This study analyzes problems studied using a qualitative descriptive approach related to management of components of the national standard of education for the Parappe Islamic Boarding School and Kanang Islamic Boarding School. Data collection is done through interviews, observation, and documentation.

The results of the study showed that management of the components of the national standard of education conducted by the Parappe Islamic Boarding School is oriented to maintaining its image or identity as a Salafiyah boarding school, the success of students in reading and understanding various classical books. The management process, especially planning and implementation, is more centered on non-formal and extracurricular learning processes or in this case standard management of content and processes. The aspects of supervision and evaluation of national education standards are still lacking in attention. While the Kanang Islamic Boarding School refers to the 2003 National Education System Law and Government Regulation Number 19 of 2005 concerning National Education Standards as a reference in conducting quality management, so that the management of Kanang Islamic Boarding School is more formally directed and measurable. Management of the Kanang Islamic Boarding School is higher quality because the results of madrasah accreditation are A (Very Good). While the Parappe Islamic Boarding School has never carried out the accreditation process. But the Parappe boarding school is known as the center of the reader of the classical book, as evidenced by many achievements at the national level, so that classical books become a distinctive feature (marketing value) for the Parappe Islamic Boarding School. The Kanang Islamic Boarding School seemed to leave the classical book recitation and more impressed as a madrasah in general.

Abstract

There are gaps that occur between the target of kindergarten curriculum within elementary curriculum, where the kindergarten curriculum does not target graduates to read, while when they have entered elementary school, children have been required to read since the beginning, because elementary school lessons are no longer starting from learning to read, but have started reading texts and story questions. Besides, there is a great desire for parents to make their children fluent at reading. So they impose their will and do guidance with methods that are not suitable for their children. The parents only want "the children can read quickly at the earliest possible age, with any way!". The purpose of this study to determine the effectiveness of learning methods of conversation using flashcards in improving reading skills of kindergarten-aged children. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. Its conducted on 44 children of Kindergarten at  Al-Amanah Jeneponto. The research data collected through observation and interviews.

The research results showed that data processing before applying the method of conversing using flashcards, the reading ability of the experimental class and control class children did not differ significantly. After this method was applied to the experimental class, the reading ability obtained an average score of 71.64 pretest increased to 82.55. While in the conventional class the average pretest value was 71.41, increasing to 73.00. After the t-test, it was shown that there were significant differences between the experimental classes using the method of conversing using flashcards compared to the control class with conventional learning. Thus, it can be concluded that learning methods of conversation using flashcards are effective in improving the reading ability of children at Al-Amanah Kindergarten Jeneponto.

Abstract

The function of development in local government becomes very important after the enactment of Regional Autonomy. The regions are expected to be autonomous and governance in carrying out development activities especially in managing and using its resource. This research was conducted using mixed method of quantitative hard system thinking (HST) and qualitative soft system thinking (SST) approaches. In quantitative method, the panel data regression of path analysis and analytical network process (ANP) found that there are seven significant and important variables whose influence regional gross domestic product growth and the improvement of the local welfare while the final result of qualitative method of soft system methodology (SSM) is developed local development model of Djazuli Local Development Model.
